Chris_Lorry wrote: Yes..Snow bush is common here and I believe you can buy the dwarf variety on violetbarn.com. I actually thought about getting it but they do still get rather large On the unidentified fern. I dont' believe fern suckers but they are easy to just cut out and send sections of..they grow pretty quickly also..So I would definitely send you some April :) and I will even let you keep your first born. And my terrarium is a 20 gallon long tank (the longs have more floor room so are goo for this) So yes, I should be able to fit quite a bit into it..and if I have to LOL I will just make a second terrarium. I got the tank at our local petstore for 30.00. Laurie..One of them is a Harmony even...harmony's frilly dilly I believe....I have many with those tags PJ and aurikab She is in FL also so I am not surprised they are in FL. I seen it go for a lot on ebay and wanted to buy it but would not pay those prices. This lady had a great selection :) I wanted to take them ALL home :) LOL. I HAD to have looking glass those as it looks like leprechaun's dream which I have wanted forever! LOL I should have gotten a couple extras of her. I didn't realize how much people would like her..but many of them have suckers (I need to transplant today) If they do..I will put your name on a looking glass :) Lord knows you are welcome to anything I own gal, you know that! And if she doesn't. I can send you a couple of leaves! They can all spare some! And I have another box of goodies for ya building up here :) OH PRETTY cryptanthus..where on earth did you get it? I LOVE them! I have a couple similar to that one :) Did I send you a raspberry baby :) and I know which Rex I got it is raspberry snow or something like that..it has a tag on it...It was the orange and green plant and the fern that I don't know about :) April...they are cryptanthus..my other fascination :) that is why Laurie said I am a bad influence :) I adore them..they are bromeliads....a true ground dweller though :) Very easy to grow..just don't overwater them :) They pup either between the leaves which you can pluck out or they cascade :) like a spider plant depending on the variety. I have one that is a deep red with dark streaks in the middle (the center on in this picture) I have three pups of it now....if you dont' already have it.>I can send you one :) Oh and one of my cryptanthus is blooming right now! A lovely dainty white flower! I am just fawning all over it! Allison...I assume you means me :) hehe we are easy to confuse. I bought all of these at the Leiu gardens sale..in Orlando..it is a botanical garden. The lady who sells ferns had them for 3 for 10.00. As I said to Laurie..many of them have suckers which I need to tend to today. If Looking glass has some..I would be happy to put your name on the second one :) Or I can send you more leaves if you like. They all have plenty they could spare. :) Frilly dilly also came from the sale :) I would be happy to put down a leaf...or she may have suckers too and the first one is yours if you would like it. I could also send you some leaves of them if you want. :) I have about a 50/50 success rate with my leaves at present. You don't need to put them under lights Allison :) Cryptanthus that is :) Just pop in in a pot with some soil..Dont' overwater him and let it do it's thing :) they are shade lovers like most bromeliads ......so he should grow anywhere you place him :) He can be inside or outside..just dont' put him in direct sun...indirect is fine..Mine all live in my screen enclosure. LOL critter....Fiesta is cool isn't it? I should have bought her out with the plants. I guess I was just not thinking! As I said to everyone..most of these have suckers I need to pull. I would be happy to put your name on one if she has some..and if not..I would be happy to send you some leaves of her :) |
