A few years back I waited for my s/o to go to Key West so I could paint our formica kitchen counters. He would have said "You can't do that". The next time, I had to wait for him to take a boat to the Bahamas so I could paint our bedroom lavender. He was impressed with the kitchen counters, his comments on the bedroom was "honey, you have too much time on your hands". Strange way to say "yeck"

Darius and I made a trip to Trenton to a nursery we had been to before. I wasn't planning on buying anymore plants, but we found a couple I couldn't live without and a few others I couldn't resist the price. Could you resist a perennial in a gal pot for 50 cents?

But ya gotta see this abelia. We also got a fringe tree and a japanese magnolia with some very unusual leaves. The nursery has citrus trees that are in bloom right now. The fragrance is just lovely and makes it hard not to buy some new plants, even if they are not grapefruit trees.
