Drivenbonkers, our oldest son was in Perth for 2 years taking a course in Historical Restoration - is your garden in Perth or on the outskirts? Andycdn, great cottage and lot. Every year I either increase the beds or edge "alittle" more than necessary. Do you have a pump to draw water from the river to water the garden? Sandy I've driven through White Lake - my husband and I have canoe tripped in the eastern section of Algonquin Park. I remember the Canadian Shield forests are quite magnificent near White Lake. Ann, looking forward to your email when you have time. I love most perennials and many annuals but shy away from bright yellow and orange flowers! Having said that, here's a photo of a bright yellow I do enjoy..Stylophorum dephyllum (Wood poppy) that is beginning to seed itself in a shady bed. I brought it back from nursery on Salt Spring Island, BC. I always feel a "connectedness" across this great land of ours when I look at it. Jacqui |
