I love the look of EE's in my pond, so I put them in a large pot last year, and pull it up occasionally and trim the roots and the runners. It didn't get as big that way. Here they all die back but we warm up a lot quicker and have a longer growing period than in IA, guess that is the difference. Back on topic for varigated items I love my sweet flag (foreground in pic). It is a slow grower and easy to move or break apart and start another bunch. Down here it is evergreen in my pond as is horsetail rush. |
