Good morning....I'm awake, I think....but more coffee will help! We all survived Christmas, one way or another, and it looks as though out families managed some very nice and thoughtful gifts! And Kelly's mom is happy because the Bears won, but Packer fans are wearing black along with Kooger.........Dh was watching the game with the sound muted while we were playing Clue and Cranium with DGS and DIL. DIL won. The rest of us just stumbled through it trying to keep the rules straight. It was Professor Plum in the Kitchen...uhhhh I forgot with what already....

Susan, thank you for sharing the "only for love", I sent that on to several people.

Ann, my ex's mother lived with us for several years, and caused a great deal tension, mostly about my kids, which she termed "heathens". Never lifted a finger, but spent most of her time complaining about one thing or another. She did manage to get up early every morning and go to church, which she apparently thought absolved her from ever performing any act of kindness for anyone. When my kids' friends said how lucky they were to have their grandma living with them, they just rolled their eyes. Eventually she went to live with one of her daughters, and wrought havoc there, too!
It might be healthier for your DD to put her up in one of those residence motels, as someone suggested!

DR had breakfast made by someone else! What a treat, and a lovely way to start the day. LOL about the chia pet...where do they live the rest of the year, we only see them at Christmas time... maybe they hibernate ?

Robert, I thought it was great that you were able to make such a generous donation to that poor family who was robbed. It must have been wonderful to actually have contact with the recipients, it would make it a double pleasure. So much that we donate gets distributed to people we never know, this was special.

Hello and welcome to Jan and Diane. Help us to eat up the leftovers, because tomorrow we are having an anniversary party, with all new food!! It will be like the pool party we had at Kooger's last spring, only with dry feet. And no bathing suits.

Okus, I have nearly a decade on you, so you're still a kid to me.

Dmcd, prime rib!! I should have known that earlier, I would have passed on the turkey and come to your house.

Funny story, last night we had the turkey roast, and I made mashed potatos....and used the packet of gravy that they pack with the roast, plus a jar of Heinz gravy to extend it a little. While we were eating, Amie passed the gravy boat to Alex, DGS, and I looked up and said "I thought you said you didn't like gravy," because he wouldn't have any at Thanksgiving. He said, "I only like YOUR gravy"....LOL... I didn't tell ! Can't be disillusioning the guy who thinks I am the best cook in the universe!!

Suzieq, that is the cutest little angel I've seen in a long time. I want her. I will trade one large hairy grandson for her. (Yeah, I knew you wouldn't.)

9kittymom, stay away from sharp objects!! They always say dull knives are more dangerous than sharp ones, but I guess you shot that theory down. GG had a great day with her loved ones, too so all in all, we managed to get through it.

Nice seed mat and rain gauge for Sarv, who thought she wouldn't have anything to open! Good job! DH got me the three volume set of Calvin and Hobbes, apparently every single thing Watterston ever drew. Weighs about 25 lbs. I couldn't imagine what was in that heavy box! And of course, the ergonomic keyboard which he gave me before Christmas. Other gifts were, lots of chocolate (to share with Sarv,) and lots of nice smelly girly stuff, and fun gifts. A good holiday all around.

All right, who's bringing what for the party? And do we have to dress up?

Here's a photo of DGS and DH playing chess, my son-in-law is standing to the right, observing....For Elaine: the one on the left with the bare spot on the back of his head is DH, (he won't let me call it a bald spot, ) DGS is the tallest of the three, and the heaviest. DIL says she is going to be the Kitchen Nazi after New Year's and they are both going to lose weight. SIL is in his usual pose, arms folded, standing to the side. DH won one game, and DGS the other.

Greetings to anyone I haven't mentioned by name....and have a restful day everyone!

Later, GOBs and GOBettes...I'm not going anywhere near a mall today but I need to clean up the kitchen and empty the freezer so I can find things.

Sheila
