African Violets and Gesneriads: where are all your violets??????, 0 by Keyring

All my plants are under lights on shelves in my small apartment. The gesneriads share space with orchids, begonias, succulents, hoyas and bromeliads. The seedlings and cuttings are in sweater boxes under the lights. (It looks like a closet lol.)

Because of the limited space, I tend to grow only a handful of gesneriads into display form. Good bloomers might sit on the table or take a vacation (I mean, business trip) to my office.

oh, the photo is just for color. It's a closeup of a leaf of Smithiantha Texas Freckles - a friend brought me a cutting recently and I can't believe how velvety and plush the leaves are!
