I separated one successfully (it went to MsC), but I ended up with a big handful of leaves when I tried to separate the other. I also removed some of the more crazily oriented leaves, and the remaining ones seem to be straightening out as they grow. Here's a tray of "girl foliage" AVs from The Violet Gallery. Top row: 'Kingswood Blue', 'Biscayne Trail', 'Sure to Please' Bottom row: 'Madeleine, 'Rob's Ragamuffin', 'Cambridge Missy', 'Baby Jay' I included 'Baby Jay' in this shot even thought it's not "officially" listed as having "girl foliage." Perhaps the leaves are considered too pointed for this classification, but they do have some scalloping as well as the slightly cupped shape and lighter base/center marking. |
