Oh Julie, please, I hope all is well with you. Hope your heart situation isn't too bad. You are in my thoughts!!!!

Well, all,
Am finally home in my own home. Being away this past month for more than 2 weeks sure make me miss my own place.
But all is much better with my parents. Dad is walking now very slowly and limping with a cane. Is still quite weak with the left leg and arm. But has come a long ways!
I really enjoyed spending time with my parents tho. They are getting so much older that time is flying and they might not be here much longer so.... Love every min of the time with them tho.

Had an adventure on the way home tho.
First, there were 2 accidents on the main highway south thru WA & OR. These accidents were only 1/2 mile apart and each accident had 2-3 cars so smashed up. Looks like following too close. So it took me 2 hrs longer to head south.

BUT

I got to meet Balvenie (Robert) and Eweed (Ernie)!!!

First stopped at Ernie's. Had 3 golden ret. meet me at the door more or less. One is an older dog, but the others were babies. Andy is 6 months old and he is HUGE! Is almost the size of the older dog. Then Jenny is a small very cute 3 month old pup. The 2 babies were so cute playing together and getting all muddy in the yard following us around.
Ernie showed me his place and it was so nice. He has some greenhouses that we would all drool over. Some real nice raspberry canes, his tomatoes in the greenhouses still staked up and had some tomatoes even still on the vines, had a very nice sun room that he had built himself, flowers and shrubs all over the yard. Lots of nice different types of trees. He had a smoker and was taking out some salmon that he had just finished. So guess what, he gave me some to bring home. I ended up having some while waiting for those darn accidents to move along. It sure was good!!!
Met his wife, Linda, and she was sewing some very nice Christmas wall hangings for their relatives and friends. She had a large room that Ernie had built for her to sew in.

Then south to Robert. His house wasn't hard to find since it was the only one with nice wood cedar panelling on the outside. It looked just like him with the woodwork. Barb, his wife was there too so met her. I had taken my special telephone for hard of hearing to my parents so I got to let Robert try it out so he could see how the captions helped him hear on the phone. I think he enjoyed seeing that phone and may look into getting one for him.
Got to meet Emmy, their new cute puppy. Very cute and loved to be petted.
Robert has done a lot to his place with the woodworking and stained glass. He had a shop that looked just like my father's shop for doing stain glass work. He does a beautiful job on all these things. He is hand carving the wood work he has showed here earlier. So much details!!! What a guy!
His gardens were fun to look at. I am going to give him some dahlia tubers to try for next year so he will have something new to grow!

Darn it , I didn't take any pics of these guys either. Well, next time maybe.

Well, need to do more laundry so will make comments to others later.

P.S. Robert, this is a pic of the tiffany lamp that I was talking to you about that my Dad had made me a few years ago. There are 1000 pieces in this lamp!

Nite, all, Carol (DR)
