We had such fun talking about sauerkraut ! My DH's parents are 100% Polish and love it straight or done in some Polish recipes they've shared with me over the years. My parents raised us on Sauerkraut with pork ribs or just fried til it turns crispy in a pan - it was cheap eats for sure with 9 of us kids :)

My Mom & Dad went to the Frank's Sauerkraut plant for a visit this summer and brought home their little single serving packets which were sold there for 10 cents apiece. Dad drove over to my office and promptly told me, "Here, you can put them in your desk or purse and just down one anytime." Thanks Dad :)
