Good Morning, everyone!!! And thank you for all the lovely welcomes from my original post yesterday. I'm so thrilled to find such a wonderful bunch of folks to *post* with.

I've got me morning cuppa tea and a fresh baked scone and I'm ready for bear!

Since I've been asked several times now for a bio, let me see if I can encapsulate this in a *Reader's Digest* version. I'm quite happily married to a wonderful man who happens to be a Master Chief in the US Navy (E-9). He's the Command Master Chief of the largest tenent command at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, Washington State. This is his swan song and we are looking forward to retirement from the Navy after 30 years of active service in 2007!!! Yay!!!

I've been in the medical profession since 1974 and have worked in various areas including ICU/CCU, Labour & Delivery, Med/Surg, Orthopaedics, Oncology, NeuroSurgery and the Emergency Department/Trauma Center for the last 9 years of my career. I'm finally working part time for the first time in my adult life and I'm LOVING it. I worked the last 15 years on graveyard shift and am finally enjoying a life and gettng back to the gardening I so love and put on hold for so many years.

I'm the daughter of a Foreign Service Officer and a Mum who stayed *home* and raised three children while dragging them around the world living out of steamer trunks and suitcases for the 36 years of my Da's career. I was born in Pasay City, Philippines and was raised overseas (Asia, Europe, South America, the Middle East and North Africa) until my parents sent me to the US to attend Univeristy and decided it was time for me to become an *American*. I like to call myself a *Global Citizen* or *Third Culture Kid*. So, if you notice my spelling being a bit different than regular American-English, it's because I was educated mostly in the British and American Ambassdorial School systems.

My hubby and I have no children together, though he has a 27 year-old son (who got married last Spring) from his first marriage. We have two Boston Terriers, "Willie and Elbee" who rule our home and keep us in line. We live on Whidbey Island, Washington State. It's the largest island in the contiguous United States and is only 20 miles as the crow flies from the border of British Columbia, Canada. We plan to move to NE Ohio after retirment and live among the Amish.

TaaaDaaaaahhhhh! The End......WHEW! You may all stand down now.
