When I want to straighten out a bent plumie, I tie it to a stake tightly at the bottom and loosely at the top, and over time (weeks), I slowly tighten the top one until it is straight. Here is a picture of some of my plumies last June. If you look closely, you can see that some are staked. I've received cuttings that looked like boomerangs before. They are easy to straighten out over time this way.
