To support my plant habit and family, I work for the State as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. I am currently working with people who have aquired tramatic brain injures or who have had strokes. I offer counseling and guidance and coordinate services for these individuals to assit them in entering or returning to work. I am reminded on a daily basis how quickly life can pull the rug out from under our feet and have developed a new appreciation for each and every blessing I am granted.
Gardening is my passion and I am lucky to have a supportive partner in Paul who puts up with my obsession and enables my habit. Brad is my one and only kid and he starts college next week leaving me to wonder where the time has gone! We have 2 dogs, Uggie and Rags, and a psychotic cat named Ozzie who found us and determined we were good enough to take care of him.
I also like to do some crafting and sewing, but, only in the winter when I can't be outside in the garden. In the winter I spend all of my free time in my sunroom, which thanks to Paul, has a lean too, add on greenhouse that is always packed from top to bottom with too many exotic and tropical plants.
