Send that cleaning lady over here and lend her the Shark.....I could use some intensive clean up, what with spending all my time outside playing. Could use a paint job in the living room too, but with these high ceilings I'm not about to tackle it. Spud fest sounds like just my speed, love baked potatos with all the good stuff on them.

Watched a dvd GS lent us last night, "Supersize Me".. Sarv, go rent it and you won't touch "fast food" for quite a while. The guy who did it, ate at McD's for a month straight, and doctors kept track of his cholesterol etc. You wouldn't believe what the results were. I had an intense craving for a real salad immediately afterwards!!! Even their "healthy" items have huge amounts of fat or sugar. A lesson for us all. I'm not fond of McD's but I fall right off the wagon when confronted with ice cream.

Julie's right, it's going to be a blister today. Yesterday was plenty hot after a somewhat cool morning but by noon it was right back up to the 90* mark. We got a brief thunder storm around 9, which knocked out the cable for the night but it was back up this morning. DH is supposed to golf after work today, so I'm not planning anything for dinner, there's leftover chinese if he's hungry.

Dcat, I'll bet those bulbs will come up...this spring I found some dahlias that I "put in a safe place" two years ago last fall.....and figured I might as well toss them in the ground, nothing lost if they don't come up.....one has emerged and looks pretty healthy. Too bad it's competing with a tomato plant and I haven't got the heart to move either one of them.!! The deer around here love those yellow tomatos!! They take a big bite out of each one before they figure out they aren't apples. I had some of the nice little yellow pear shaped ones last year, like eating candy. And were they prolific, we couldn't eat/donate/pick them fast enough. Thought they might self seed but I don't see any.

My beans are nice and big but no blossoms yet. I have some red stemmed swiss chard that's doing nicely, and one tomato plant has a tomato about the size of a peanut M&M. Told DH I would share it with him. Other stuff is looking very happy after a nice big drink of rainwater.

Kooger, that's a scary bridge! I don't mind that kind when I'm in my car, but I hate to cross one like that in the truck, it always looks like you could go right over. The sign is funny too. I'm attaching a photo I saw yesterday ....unhappy grain farmer....!

Mary, you are the busiest person I know ! You really make me look like a slouch! Painting and riding and planting and so forth, while I sat on my .........
chair and finished a book!! LOL

Molly, tell us when you get some lilies listed in your store, I'm looking to add some and I'd love to get them from you. I have only those "ditch" lilies, and a few of those Stella D'oros that everyone has.

I better get dressed and go out and chase weeds before it turns into a steam bath. Then I'm going shopping. Summer stuff should all be on sale and most of my shorts look like I got them from the rag picker. All my golfing friends come back from Florida with such cute things from those big sporting good stores down there, here the prices never go down much because there's no competition. And I'll be switched if I'll pay $40 or more for a pair of summer shorts!
