Buns wrote: Thank you all for the welcome, those photos are from last year. Each year the plants get larger and larger. Some are already taller than the first story of my house. In the past I have cut them back and given the "sticks" away. After seeing all of your fun plants, I think I may try to make a few trees our of them, and of course I'll need to read more and get lots of help. I have been reading the forums and you guys are so nice I wanted to join in. I have more confessions to make, since reading your forums I have collected a few with names. I just got two from Katz Kuntry Gardens thru Ebay (White Shredded & Versi Peach). They arrived in great shape (rooted cuttings) and the leaves were still perky even after the Post Office had their way with them. I was very happily suprised to see how well they traveled. (Pictured Below) I also found Robyn from Robyns Butterfly Gardens on Ebay and since she lives 10 minutes from me I asked if we could visit and 3 of us did. What a fun place. I got some Brug cuttings from her, I think 3 were named, the rest were unknown but she said she would identify them when I sent her a photo of the blooms. Got Butterfly, Milk N Honey and Sunset (verigated-and think it must be tropical sunset) from her along with a Iochroma Cyaneum and a Abutilon and lots of unknown brug cuttings. She has quite a garden and is expanding to a vacant lot in her neighborhood. Thinking that would be her only way to expand unless she opted to go into water plants and fill her pool. What a nice lady. A friend brought me a brug with Sanguinea on the label and I found Suavendles Pink & Peaches N Cream at a nursery yesterday. While this same friend was at the Jerry's Jungle sale I phoned her and she confessed she was there without me so I innocently asked, any brugs? She brought me Jean Pasco and Herrenhauser Gartens from there. Jerry, if you are reading this, I want to come to the next sale. So, Ok Ok, I'm not soooooooooooo deprived and as soon as these guys grow and bloom and flurish I will be happy to share. Just teach me the best way because you all have been doing this so much longer than I have. Oh, I also ordered some seeds, OMG, someone stop me! |
