Well who knows, maybe Peter Valder is not the last word of its fragrance! The pics in the Plantfiles look more like Millettia sp., Satsuma Sakuko Fuji according to this book, but that one too he says has no detectable scent.

The one in my picture above is Wisteria floribunda "Violacea Plena," a double flowered wisteria which is the best one there is in my opinion!
