Now that the new camera has returned from its vacation in Saskatchewan with Durwin (DH), and I have loaded up the software and figured out (hopefully) how to post pictures, here's the inaugural shot from our yard. When I tried it in the test forum, it took a lo-o-o-o-ong time to upload - maybe this is something inherent to dial-up? Anyway, I have several but may not have time to post them all before I go to bed tonight! :-) Here goes....

This is a shot from our back yard, looking north-west over a street called Cinq-Mars, that runs up along the west side of our property. Part of the Gatineau Hills are in the background. In the foreground are some sunflowers, a peony bush and some beans - this is a garden that's been resurrected, with limited success, from a sand & weed patch. I have better hopes for next year; it'll need lots of leaves dug in this fall.
