I have several Milkweed plants (asclepias curassavia tropical blood flower and silky gold) for my monarchs that have fallen ill

The leaves get a black discolored area, turn yellow and fall off. I have read some posts about the Tachnid fly as well as fungus from overwatering. I removed all the infected leaves and I have taken photos and hoping for help.
