I have had this plant for about 5 years. It has done well. But lately it seems to be dropping more leaves that usual. It\'s not as full as it should be (I think)...is this a sign it needs a bigger pot? Or something else

Some of the leaves on the interior are drooping and lacking firmness. This hasn\'t happened before.

Today one of the three heads just popped right off. (Why?) I\'ve been told with a clean cut it will grow back but I\'m still concerned as to why it happened.

The plant has three stems and they were growing outwards, on the advice of a local conservatory I \"braided\" the stems. Did I put my poor plant into shock? Will it recover? Or is there another cause? Should I \"unbraid\" the stems?

I leave my water out to evaporate the chlorine. I let the soil dry between watering. Though my mother was caring for my home in the last week and may have watered it more. It sits at a north facing window.
