The stone was obtained from lots of sources - he made a lot of deals in the 70s when he was building the house to purchase the stone from mansions they were tearing down around here. Our back steps came from the old Clinton Town Bank, and we have two stone fireplaces that he bought from an old Inn where Lafayette stayed centuries ago..when they took down the Inn John bought the fireplaces and reassembled them in our living room and kitchen.

Here's a pic of the newest doors he made - these are on the back of the house leading into the cellar. He just installed these doors 2 weeks ago.
