Insect and Spider Identification: Spider found in house in south east Ontario, Canada, 1 by Kristine6475

Hi everyone,

I found this spider on the wall a few inches from the ceiling in my house in Belleville, Ontario. I have never seen anything like it, and I have spent about an hour now trying to identify it. I have had no luck and thought I would turn to people who know more than I do. Can anyone help me identify this spider? If so, should I be concerned about it, and maybe others, being in my house?
