Gitagal wrote: OK! Jill! Thanks for the pictures! I am rescinding my rescind......ssgardener--Yooo--Hooo-----I want some! SS--I would like to have some of your Lychnis after all. Pictures do wonders--no? Just tell me, please, if it spreads a lot? I plan to grow this in my "YUK" bed. Rose Campion thrives there--VA Bluebells as well. Evening primroses---Sedums-- a pile of Day Lilies---My Shastas--Heliopsis--AK Daisy--2 Butterfly Bushes--etc... My Rosemary grows there too. It is getting old!--may dig it up and start fresh. Can I rent a back-hoe from someone???? That would open up a spot for the Lychnis.....Sounds like a plan!!!! YEAH! Remember how I always tell you all that for me to get something NEW planted-- something OLD has to go! NO! it is NOT a wedding.......:o) Chantelle----- I KNOW how you love fragrant things! The pink rose above is amazing!!! The fragrance is amazing. IF I still have a bloom next week--I will cut a stem for you to sniff. Maybe you can search and find someplace that still sells these. It is an "old" Rose--meaning it is way out of the patent frame. Mine is SO old--and yet it is the strongest and most disease-resistant Rose i have. I LOVE IT!!!! Its name is: "Sweet Surrender". Smells like Granny's perfume..... Pic. #1--taken this week. #2--taken in 2010. Here is another "OFFER"------ I gave up having to deal with all the dying daff. foliage in my AM bed. So tired of it! Besides--all the clumps there are old and crowded. I never have room for my annuals untill this foliage is GONE!!! Well---I made it gone!!!!! I now have a BIG box-full of bulbs and foliage I dug up. Different kinds of daffodils. I may regret a No Bloom spring next year--but the deed is done! All my other beds have Daffs one place or another. The "OFFER"-----Is anyone interested in taking clumps of all these bulbs?????? I would then bring the BIG box and you all can go at it. Terri---You have SO much room!!!! Please let me know! Pic. #3 of the box of bulbs. Shoe on top for scale..... |
