Lobesia abscisana

Taken on 28th July 2008, Lincoln UK. Wingspan 10-13mm, flying in May, then again in July to August. Flying from dusk, later attracted to light.

Taken on 30th July, they seem to vary a lot in colour and pattern. Found in south and south-east of England mainly. Larvae feed on shoots of Creeping Thistle (Cirsium arvense).
