Taken on 16th September 2008, Lincoln UK. Wingspan 14-22m, they are attracted to light. This one doesn't pose a pest problem, the larvae feed in old nests.

One of the largest of this family in Britain, it is distributed throughout most of the British Isles. It's still small!

Taken on 11th September 2008. The small black marks on the edges of the wings come together making a bigger mark, base colour is white with gold speckled, deep rose flashes.
