Taken on 1st August 2008, Lincoln UK. Wingspan 25-30mm, fairly common throughout Britain favouring woodland edges, gardens and meadows.

Taken on 10th August 2008. They fly in two broods, May and June then again in August and September. Caterpillars are nocturnal, living on low growing plants such as dock and plantain.
