Taken on 8th September 2008, Lincoln UK. Similar to but smaller than Lygus pratensis, 5-6mm as opposed to 6-7mm. The pronotum is broader with variable rosy tinging at the base.

Same bug, different lighting, on the white window frame, it was on the run! Width of the prontum is approx. 1.5x length of 2nd antennal segment. Local and sandy areas in the UK.

Taken on 26th September 2008, meeting on a Dahlia imperialis leaflet, male and female? Feed on a range of plants, including sorrel, gorse, clovers and scentless mayweed. Info at britishbugs.org.uk
