Deraeocoris ruber

Taken on 23rd July 2008, Lincoln UK. The ground colour can range from red-orange to almost fully black. Length 6-8mm.

It was climbing around a dahlia flower bud, it sucks sap from a range of food plants including the favourite for many, nettles!

It's face, I'm sure it spotted me, it certainly didn't stay still but kept climbing around the bud!
