Taken 21st July 06. The female I believe, perched on a Forsythia Fiesta in my garden. I saw one last year and have plenty this year.

On Coreopsis Limerock Ruby in my garden in SW France, July 2008. The dark sex brand of the male is clearly seen on the forewings.

This appears to be the female flashing her wings as there is no dark sex brand visible. SW France, August 2008.
