Great Golden Digger wasp feeding on White Coral vine nectar. Very busy and hard to get a photo of - they move around a LOT and FAST! Facinating and beautiful!

I saw her drag the grasshopper down the hole, and then heard awful buzzing from the hole, and she left.

I watched this one dig for about 20-30 minutes the other day... It got where it would stay down in the hole it dug 25 seconds... Fascinating to watch! August 2009
