Another beautiful 'tailless' swallowtail from Africa, Madagascar, and Southern Saudi Arabia.
Larval food plants are of Rutaceae.
The female nireus is distinguished by wider bands of color than the male. There are several other banded swallowtails with similar colorations, however the teller on this individual is noted by the distinctive white line on the ventral side.
