Found in nearly all parts of the US (except the Rocky Mountains), the adult is wingless and approximately 2 mm long and oval. The body is a glaucous (blue-green) color with a row of black spots on each side and a powdery coating.

The Corn Leaf Aphid overwinters in the southern US and are a problem on winter-planted grains in spring and late plantings of fall corn.
