I had a new volunteer aster pop up in my flowerbed this spring. I noticed this tiny caterpillar and watched it grow to this size. It was beautiful! I've never had it, or the aster before. I also found another small one eating the goldenrod across the road. I hope to see the moth sometime. It never left the plant to eat anything else.
